Why the hiatus?

OOC: People have asked me where I’ve been. I actually have a shit ton ideas for this blog, and while it’s true that, yes, I started an RP blog a couple months ago and have been very active on that, there is one BIG issue you guys don’t see that has forced me to be inactive on this blog

Technology.

I run my blogs on a rather old Toshiba that’s been so used to the point where it overheats if I try to run too much on it at once. Note that this is the only computer I have that runs photoshop, and I’ve currently misplaced the CS6 disk. The reason I’ve been more active on my RP blog is because replies are mostly text based, and don’t require another program running to complete. Waka here is art-based; I draw almost every reply in my inbox. And lately, with how shot the fan on this poor Toshiba is starting to become, It’s near impossible to get any photoshop work done on this ting without worry of it freaking out and shutting down in the middle of things.

On top of that, this computer has crashed—not just shut down, but like, needed system-restored and almost to the point of no return where you lose everything—at least three times in the past month, it’s VERY hard to get Waka’s answers done.

And as I’ve mentioned, I don’t give less than my best when it comes to my art replies. I love my art too much.

Right now, I’m saving money to buy myself a new laptop. One that will better run photoshop without me having to worry if I’ll someday turn the computer on only to find it won’t boot up ever again. The moment that day comes, you will find LOTS of art on this, and regular replies.

I came into this ask blog knowing I’d have to keep it up. Unfortunately technology has other plans, and until I can kick its ass into gear, it’s going to be a while before I can seriously digital-art again.


SO, TL;DR: This blog will be up and running when mun has funds for a reliable computer. I’m so sorry for the inconvience, and would like to thank those of you that have still stuck around. I promise once I get technology to bow to me once again, you won’t be disappointed.

I’m very much alive, mon ami. The artist, however, has been quite busy with her school as of late, and her computer has been starting to give her issues when it crashed while she tried to get a jump drive working (she thinks it was just the jump drive, which had been damaged in an accident). She promises that this blog hasn’t died; it’s just on hiatus

TL;DR, we’re just on hiatus until things settle down. All right, mon ami?

OOC: Question for the followers

(Sonic seems to have a couple announcements, and a question for you guys, so I guess I have no choice but to let her take over)

OOC: Shut up, Waka. It’s for your own good… hey fellow followers, Sonic here! Got some OOC things I want to address (no, you’re not in trouble), so I’m taking over for a post.

Main point: I’ve got a bit of a poll for you guys (well, more like a question), since I’m sort of figuring out this ask-blog business as I go. Some of you, I know the answer for already, but I’d still like to learn as much as I can from all of you. :3 The question can be found at the bottom of this post. Feedback would be very much appreciated, as it will help me learn how to run this smoother and more effectively as things move on.

Minor point: If you’re wondering why this blog hasn’t been updated very frequently lately… well, it’s now ‘finals week’ for me. I’m probably not going to start on any more answers until the end of the week, but the ask-box is still open. If you have something you’d like to see Waka answer, go ahead and submit it. Trust me, the guy’s not shy; he probably gets a kick out of the attention.

Thanks for all of your help, and I promise to get the half-baked pretty boy Tao Master Ushiwaka back into answering questions soon!

So apparently, it’s been revealed to me that reblogging answered questions isn’t possible. Explains a few things…

… see, this is what I get for sharing account space for someone who doesn’t have a clue what they’re doing is running an ask blog for the very first time. Trial and error, I suppose.
As such, there might be some editing to be done in the future… yes, the ask box is still open, and yes, pictures are still being drawn.

(As for why I haven’t been posting answers lately, well, the artist keeps working on this one huge picture, saying something about a ‘bigass project’ and something being a ‘hell of a question to answer’. I foresee something very interesting happening in the near future…)
